Calls

Call for renewable energy companies

Nono, Córdoba

Target profile

The call is aimed at:

  1. Solar energy generation companies, focused on the design, financing, and operation of medium-scale photovoltaic solar parks;
  2. Distributed generation companies dedicated to the assembly and installation of self-consumption systems for tourist establishments, businesses, SMEs, public institutions, and homes;
  3. Micro-enterprises providing technical services, such as entrepreneurs and independent technicians focused on the assembly, preventive maintenance, and provision of components for small-scale solar energy systems.

Overview

The company that establishes itself in the Municipality of Nono will operate in a territory with a solid background in medium-scale clean energy generation, such as the creation of the CEMDO I cooperative photovoltaic park (10-12 MWp), in the town of Villa Dolores, on Route 148.

This favorable investment environment is supported by official data: according to the solar potential map from the Spatial Data Infrastructure Program of the Province of Córdoba (IDECOR), the area records a real net yield of 1,705.35 kWh-year/kWp at optimal inclination. This indicator, coupled with the ecosystem of active electricity distribution cooperatives in the Traslasierra region, provides the necessary technical security to successfully develop medium-scale solar parks.

The project will be able to operate as the supply and stabilization engine for the electrical subsystem of the southern corridor of Provincial Route 14.

This micro-regional potential market, comprising over 300,000 inhabitants in its extended area of influence in western Córdoba (according to official data from the 2022 National Census), presents an active and growing demand at three specific levels:

  1. The corridor of neighboring communes. The direct coverage area for service provision and power injection includes Nono and its adjacent localities.
  2. The local productive sector. The market of small agricultural producers and boutique ventures (olive groves, emerging wineries, beekeepers, and aromatic distillation plants, among others) seeks to migrate towards solar energy systems and distributed generation schemes to lower their fixed operating costs, as the region faces some of the highest retail electricity costs in the province.
  3. Cooperative articulation. The company will be able to work in synergy with the regional electric cooperative system. This business model and local injection have already been validated in the region by the experience of the CEMDO regional cooperative's photovoltaic park and the Cura Brochero solar park.

Logistical advantages and strategic location

  1. Connectivity: Nono has direct and fast access to Córdoba Capital via the Camino de las Altas Cumbres (Provincial Route 34), which ensures connection with the country's main wholesale technology distributors located in the provincial capital.
  2. Suitable Infrastructure: Nono has land and peripheral spaces on Route 14 or consolidated accesses that facilitate the loading, unloading, and storage of large structures.

Institutional framework oriented towards climate action and sustainable development

The Municipality of Nono maintains an active policy of environmental care and promotion of sustainable development. Companies that establish themselves in the locality will integrate into a consolidated institutional ecosystem under the following management lines:

  1. Territorial Planning Plan.
  2. Sustainable waste management.
  3. Green seal program.
  4. Medina Allende Reservoir Perilake Protected Area.
  5. Plastic Bag Prohibition.
